I thought I’d have a section on this site so you can, if you feel like it, read about my personal journey through the minefield of Addiction.

I will also gather stories from other parents who walk this path – which you can find under Recovery Toolbox/Your Stories. We all need that reassurance that we are not alone.

My journey has taken over six years so far and is still ‘active’.

Stories are a vital part of our human existence. They can often make sense of those parts of life that appear to make no sense at all when we are in the midst of living them.

During one of his relatively ‘clean’ phases, my son turned to me in the car one day and said: “One day you’ll write a book about all of this, Mum”.

“No I won’t,” I said – with feeling.

Turns out he knew what he was talking about…
